The kids are members of the
Texas A&M Junior Aggie Club which encourages families to attend events and save money at the same time. The kids get into most events free or at a discounted rate. This past weekend the club members met at G. Rollie White Coliseum prior to the women's volleyball match vs. Colorado and made a turkey gobbler out of a cup and colored Thanksgiving pages. Reveille VIII made an appearance and we took some photos with her. Hopefully one will be good enough for our Christmas card this year.
We called Angela Garcia to join us since she's attending Texas A&M now and I'm sure had nothing else to do on Saturday night. While enjoying the pre-game activities, we were approached by the club leader to see if one of the kids would be interested in participating in the balloon popping activity after the second game. Rachel proudly stepped up to the plate. The contest included four members of the club competing against each other to see who could pop the most balloons. The winner popped quite a few and the other three did not pop any. Rachel had lots of fun though. It was fun for all watching too!
The aggies won the volleyball match in three games. We decided to get a bite to eat after the match as if the two buckets of popcorn just weren't enough. We settled for Fish Daddy's since all the other places we wanted to go had lines an hour long. Turns out we'd have been better off waiting. None of us had ever been to Fish Daddy's and will most likely never return. The service was good, but the food was not what we had expected. Could be that our mouths were watering for wings instead.
